Fronted by the elegantly melancholic voice of English national Jon Wood, the Brisbane based Brit-Indie Rock quartet combine melody with energy and deliver a fresh yet quirky take on the genre. Reviving such a sound and breathing new life into a seemingly thus conquered field, Camels in Croatia's recent effort, their sophomore EP 'Seven! Seven Bats!' was recorded during the week of the Brisbane floods with producer Robbie Carlyon.

Forming in the back end of 2009 as a 3-piece, the band has played some iconic venues across the Queensland capital - namely 'Ric's Bar', 'Barsoma', & highly revered 'The Zoo'. Having previously supported Numbers Radio, the band also supported internationally acclaimed Kiwi outfit Die!Die!Die! in a one-off show on the Sunshine Coast.

To put it simply, Camels in Croatia is a grandiose collaboration of musical accents from across the board - inspiration from obvious British classics such as The Kooks, Arctic Monkeys and The Wombats is evident, complimented by shades of American college heroes Vampire Weekend, throw in the spirit Kele Okereke?s Bloc Party, the raw power of The Libertines, the effortless spontaneity of Zeppelin, and echoes of Scottish indie God?s Franz Ferdinand.
