Bio
Oh Ye Denver Birds (occasionally referred to as OYDB) were founded early in the winter of 2009 and represent the musical ventures of Dominic Stephens, Katherine Gough, Zac Vale and Josh Spencer.
With a disposition towards brash rhythms and multi-instrumental layering, Oh Ye Denver Birds pride themselves on an ethos of constant experimentation with sound and structural conventions. Since formation OYDB have released a limited volume of material to the public, almost exclusively in the form of singles Walls and Your Sacrifice in 2010, and I Believe In Love Kid in August 2011 as the first track from their debut album Good Ivy which is due out in early 2012 on the band's own imprint.
Some of Australia's most respected music media outlets including Triple J, Rolling Stone, and Street Press Australia have marked Oh Ye Denver Birds as a venture best watched closely in the future, for their ability to evolve and challenge their established musical conventions have already yielded unique and exuberant works, and will no doubt continue to do so in times to come.
